Sourced from the dense Katarniyaghat Forest of Uttar Pradesh, this honey is produced by Apis dorsata, the indigenous wild bees. They gather nectar from Sal, Haldu, Khair, and countless wildflowers, creating a mildly sweet honey with a woody aroma and smooth texture. Harvested twice a year using traditional methods, it preserves the raw, untamed character of the forest.
This Aranyam Honey is harvested from the Katarniyaghat Forest region of Uttar Pradesh.
The forest is rich in Sal, Haldu, Ashid, and Khair trees. Additionally, its diverse herbaceous and climbing flora—comprising hundreds of species—includes wildflowers available throughout the year, which support wild honeybees in collecting nectar.
Indigenous wild honeybees (Apis dorsata) build their honeycombs high in the trees twice a year, during May–June and October–November, collecting nectar from wildflowers to produce this pure honey.
This honey has a mildly sweet taste with a woody aroma, a smooth texture, and medium viscosity.
